Abstract
Reactions of 3-aroylpyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxaline1,2,4(5H)-triones with cyclic alkoxy olefins were not studied previously. We have found that 3-benzoylpyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxaline-1,2,4(5H)-trione (1) reacts with 3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran at a ratio of 1 : 1.5 in boiling 1,4-dioxane to give a mixture of (2S*,1R*,7R*)9 -pheny l -6 ,8 -d ioxa -13 ,20 -d iazapen tacy c lo [11.8.0.0.0.0]henicosa-9,14,16,18-tetraene11,12,21-trione (2) and 3-benzoyl-2-hydroxy-3a-(3,4dihydro-2H-pyran-5-yl)-1H-pyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxaline-1,4(3aH,5H)-dione (3).
