Organic Chemistry
Abstract
Heterocyclic compounds have attracted significant attention in recent years due to their promising applications in organic electronics. This review summarizes the recent advances in the design and synthesis of heterocyclic compounds for use in organic electronics. The focus is on emerging trends in the field, including the development of novel heterocyclic building blocks, the incorporation of heterocycles into π-conjugated systems, and the use of heterocyclic compounds in optoelectronic devices. We also discuss the challenges associated with the design and synthesis of heterocyclic compounds for organic electronics applications, and highlight future directions in this rapidly evolving field.
