Abstract
The reactions of alkyl 3-nitroacrylates with representatives of aryl(hetaryl) carboxylic acid hydrazides and substituted phenylhydrazines were studied. It was shown that the reactions proceed along the path of the formation of aza-Michael adducts. Elimination of nitrous acid by the action of a base from aza-adducts leads to the formation of N′-substituted E-hydrazones of alkyl pyruvates.
