Abstract
4,6-Di-tert-butyl-1,2,3-benzodithiazolium-chloride (1) reacts with Ph3P=NSi(CH3)3 (2) or Na[N(Si(CH3)3)2] (3) in the presence of oxygen to yield 3,3',5,5'-tetrakis-tert-butyl-2,2'-bissulfinyl- amino-1,1'-diphenyl-disulfide (4), which was characterized by X-ray structure determination. Crystals of 4 are triclinic, space group P1, with a = 1043.6(4), b = 1088.8(7), c - 1451.5(7) pm, a - 76.69(5), β = 80.67(3) and γ = 77.91(4)°
