Abstract

Subject. The article investigates areas of knowledge and tasks of business analysis related to analytical work with requirements, their role in analytical support for management of changes and achieving business efficiency. Objectives. The purpose is to explore the content of business analysis knowledge areas, covering the identification of requirements and interaction, management of requirement life cycle, analysis of requirements and identification of solutions, specifying their tasks in accordance with the international standard of business analysis, as well as their impact on the results of analytical substantiation of management decisions and their implementation. Methods. The study rests on general scientific research methods, like analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization. Results. Based on the comprehensive study of the volume of analytical work with requirements determined by the standardization of business analysis at the international level, the paper disclosed the main content, relevant tools, and key stakeholders in relation to each of the corresponding tasks. It also underpinned the formation of requirements analysis as a fundamental direction of business analysis and effective tool for ensuring business efficiency. Conclusions. The findings will contribute to improving the analytical support for change management of organizations, the quality of justification and implementation of developed solutions, help achieve maximum satisfaction of stakeholders and fulfillment of organization's goals.
