THE ROLE OF LIBRARIES IN THE NATIONAL INNOVATION SYSTEM IN THE CONTEXT OF THE TRANSITION TO THE KNOWLEDGE ECONOMY

The article considers the interpretation of the category “knowledge”. It is determined that the reproduction of knowledge is carried out within the framework of the national innovation system (NIS). It is concluded that the element responsible for the accumulation and storage of knowledge is not highlighted in the basic model. Based on the provisions of the theory of W. Strauss and N. Howe as well as on the analysis of correlation dependencies, a conclusion is drawn about the important role of libraries in the scientific activities of the state. In this regard, it is proposed to identify libraries as a subject of NIS. The work was carried out within the framework of the state task No. of the state registration FRSE-2024-0002.
