Laboratory of Rheological properties of condensed media under pulsed influences
Federal Research Center of Problem of Chemical Physics and Medicinal Chemistry RAS
Studying shock wave phenomena in condensed media and obtaining information about the processes of high-speed deformation, destruction, structural and chemical transformations of matter under these conditions. Identification of mechanisms, determining factors and kinetic patterns of fast-flowing processes in order to ensure the predictability of intense pulse effects and the use of shock wave technology for problems of materials science, solid state physics and chemical physics. Special attention is paid to studies of the influence of structural factors on the dynamic properties of materials. Structural factors include: grain size, texture, dislocations, twins, heat treatment, various plastic deformations, etc.
