The main directions of scientific research are electrocatalytic reactions involving transition metal complexes. Development of new single-stage methods of catalytic cross-combination, perfluoroalkylation, and halogenation of various substrates (unsaturated, white phosphorus, aryl halides, including heteroaromatic halides). Electrocatalytic activation of small molecules (hydrogen, white phosphorus) and others in the coordination sphere of nickel complexes with P,N-cyclic ligands.

We are the team of experts from different areas: physics, mathematics, electrochemistry, control theory, micro- and power-electronics who joined together to develop flexible tools for simulation and control of redox flow batteries. Our scope of expertise covers experimental and numerical study of redox flow batteries technologies on different levels, starting from small lab-scale prototypes going to industrial-scale systems with power of several kW. That allow us developing unique solutions for investigation of RFB systems as well as control their main parameters in order to ensure battery stable operation with high energy efficiency.

Additionally, the physicochemical properties of vesicular supramolecular structures - niosomes - are being studied.

Our research interests are related to computer modeling of heterogeneous systems and processes at the atomic (molecular) level. We use methods such as classical molecular dynamics (MD), density functional theory (DFT), quantum mechanical theory of electron transport, PIC (particle-in-cell). Key research areas: Structure of the electrode/electrolyte interface applied to electrochemical current sources; Heterogeneous electron transfer and ion intercalation; Phenomena of partial charge transfer between the surface and the adsorbate in the context of gas sensors; Plasma separation of spent nuclear fuel; Modeling of colloidal nanoparticles (quantum dots, micelles); Chemistry of defects in solid body (surface segregation, diffusion).
