XXIII International Symposium on Homogeneous Catalysis (ISHC 2024)

As chairs of the 23rd International Symposium on Homogeneous Catalysis, we are delighted to cordially invite you to the ISHC 2024 edition to Trieste. The ISHC series has been the prime place to discuss most recent advances in homogeneous catalysis. It has an outstanding reputation for excellence and highly engaged discussions, and it has long been a focal point for scientists at the forefront of homogeneous catalysis.

Traditionally, it has been highly successful in bringing together leaders from academia and industry, and the Trieste edition of ISHC is proud to keep up this tradition. ISHC 2024 will feature a spectacular line-up of keynote speakers from all over the world as well as slots for oral contributions. There will also be dedicated events to foster academia-industry interactions.

A special feature of the 2024 edition will be the dedicated session in tribute of Prof. R. H. Grubbs, a giant in homogeneous catalysis who was actively shaping the spirit of ISHC over many decades.

As by its tradition, the ISHC will be run in a single-session format (no parallel sessions), and talks will be followed by ample discussion time to spark inspiration and interaction. Some 25 keynote lectures and about 30 oral contributions will highlight the newest trends and latest developments in the field of homogeneous catalysis. As a special event, this year’s edition will also feature a symposium dedicated to the late Bob Grubbs, a giant in the field and a defining member of the ISHC series. ISHC 2024 will encompass all aspects of homogeneous catalysis, including (but not limited to) small molecule and strong bond activation, (de)polymerization, biocatalysis and catalysis in confined space, energy-related catalysis (circular economy), computational and machine learning, mechanism and kinetics, asymmetric catalysis and photocatalysis.

ISHC 2024 will be a single-session symposium with ample opportunities for discussion and interaction with leaders in the field, both from academia and industry, including vibrant poster sessions.
