Laboratory of Metagenome Analysis

The laboratory studies the diversity and molecular mechanisms of prokaryotic defence systems, phage anti-defence systems, and various aspects of the phage-host interaction. The laboratory conducts research in the field of metagenomics, including studies of the diversity of microbial communities in hard-to-reach habitats. The laboratory staff has created a unique metagenomic database and a collection of bacterial strains.
