Research directions

The study of the introduction of digital technologies (platforms, AI) into the activities of the state

+
Advances in artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things, big data and analytics open up a wide range of opportunities for the public sector. Digital technologies are transforming public administration by influencing the processes, organizational structure, culture, as well as the duties and tasks of civil servants. Against this background, there is a need for a holistic understanding of the introduction of digital technologies and their impact on government activities.

Research of approaches to regulation of digital technologies

+
Digital technologies have an impact on society and the economy, forming new norms and requiring changes in the institutional environment. The state plays a significant role in directing and stimulating the development of digital technologies for the benefit of society. All over the world, countries are adapting government regulation to technological changes, however, often the regulatory framework does not have enough flexibility to adapt to the growing pace of technological developments. Digital technologies also influence the ways of government regulation, changing traditional definitions and methods.

The study of human-centered barriers of digital transformation in public administration

+
In the modern world, digital technologies are becoming intermediaries in the interaction between the state and citizens. All over the world, digital technologies are used to make important decisions on a wide range of issues in the public sector, however, their active implementation faces social barriers that impede the effective use of digital tools. The study of social barriers should become part of government projects aimed at using digital technologies. A deeper understanding of human-centered barriers contributes to a greater orientation of projects towards end users and greater budgetary efficiency.
