The Laboratory of Organic Synthesis was established in 2001. He works in close cooperation with the laboratory of new organic materials of OmSTU. The laboratories have financial support from the Russian Science Foundation. The laboratory staff are graduates of the Moscow State University named after F.M. Dostoevsky. The OmSU laboratory also cooperates with other laboratories in Russia and Europe, and in the future it is planned to establish cooperation with China.

Research directions

Development of green synthesis technologies that do not pollute the environment

Photochemical reactions occurring under the influence of light are an example of such technologies.

Semiconductor materials for organic electronics used, for example, in capacitors and mobile phone displays, in flat-panel OLED TVs

In some respects, organic materials have a number of advantages over classical inorganic semiconductors and conductors: they are cheaper, more flexible and lighter. Previously, effective bright LEDs were made based on laboratory materials.

Development of luminescent probes, dyes for the study of biological processes and diagnosis of various diseases

Such probes selectively change their properties depending on the medium, acidity, the presence of certain molecules, ions, oxidants or reducing agents in their environment. Among the laboratory's developments are fluorescent dyes for enzyme immunoassay, used to identify viruses, bacteria, fungi, etc. This year, it is planned to publish a scientific article in the authoritative publication "Dies and Pigments", dedicated to fluorescent dyes for histochemical staining of skin sections, a method that is widely used for the diagnosis of tumors. The laboratory also plans to study the biological activity of synthesized compounds: antioxidant properties, cytotoxicity, phototoxicity, antiviral activity.
