Structural mechanics and physics of destruction of materials named after Academician I.I. Novikov
Research interests: assessment of damage characteristics in structural steels and alloys under static and cyclic loading; fractodiagnostics of structural materials destruction under various types of loading and during operation; study of the stages of destruction of structural steels and alloys using physical methods of non-destructive testing, including acoustic emission, ultrasonic, eddy current, coercive, electrical resistance; research of mechanisms and the features of the destruction of structural materials under conditions of shear, separation and mixed loading modes; establishing the relationship of statistical distributions of values of impact strength and dynamic crack resistance with the mechanisms of destruction of structural materials; studying the effect of degradation due to operation on mechanical ones. physical properties, stages and mechanisms of destruction of structural steels and alloys; investigation of the local deformed state during the destruction of structural steel samples by digital image correlation; analysis of the kinetics of destruction of steel samples for modeling seismic processes developing before an earthquake.
