Development of innovative methods of preparation, study of the structure, physical and chemical properties of N-, O-, S-containing heterocyclic and acyclic systems in order to search for new medicines

The purpose of the scientific topic is to design new heterocyclic and acyclic systems with potential biological activity. Development of innovative technologies for the synthesis of new biologically active compounds in a number of N-, O-, S-containing heterocyclic and acyclic compounds in order to search for new potential antitumor, antiviral, anti-tuberculosis, antimicrobial agents, radioprotectors, agents affecting the cardiovascular system and having antidiabetic effects. The development of innovative technologies for the production of synthetic and semi-synthetic medicines with anti-tuberculosis, antiviral, antimicrobial, antiarrhythmic, antidiabetic, antihypertensive, antiallergic, immunomodulatory, immunosuppressive, antihypoxic, antioxidant and other effects is an urgent task. This is directly related to the implementation of the Strategy of Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation and involves the search and development of new biologically active substances. Important areas of such a search are research in the field of chemistry of N,O,S-containing heterocyclic and acyclic compounds. Research in this field is relevant due to the possibility of obtaining and studying biomimetic BAS having structural similarities with important biological substrates – derivatives of pyridine, pyrimidine, piran and others. At the same time, a promising direction is the use of electron-deficient heterocyclic systems, such as oxo-derivatives of 1,3-oxa (tia)zine and 4H-piran, for the construction of new target heterocyclic compounds. New effective strategies for the construction of functionalized derivatives of 1,3-oxa(tia)zine, chromone, 1,3,4-thiadiazole, 1,2,4-triazole, 1,3,5-triazine, pyrimidine, pyridine, pyrazole will be proposed. A set of physico-chemical data on their structure will be collected, which can be used to prove the structure of other related compounds. The features of their chemical behavior in reactions with electrophilic and nucleophilic reagents will be investigated and systematized. New potential low-toxic medicinal substances with a wide range of biological activity will be identified and leader compounds with established biological activity will be identified. A scientific basis will be created and ways of purposeful synthesis of new compounds with predictable properties will be outlined.
