The laboratory includes several scientific groups united by a common theme: stem cell biology and molecular mechanisms of cell fate regulation. The research conducted in the laboratory is aimed at studying a wide range of molecular and functional characteristics of pluripotent and multipotent human stem cells, as well as tumor stem cells.

  1. Real-time PCR (qPCR)
  2. Immunocytochemistry
  3. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)
  4. Methods of fluorescence and confocal microscopy
  5. Flow cytometry

Research directions

Cellular redox homeostasis and redox-dependent signaling

+
Monitoring of intracellular redox characteristics and studying the role of redox active compounds in regulating the processes of self-renewal, differentiation and reprogramming of multipotent and pluripotent stem cells. Development of protocols for quantitative characterization of redox parameters of cells (intracellular concentration of hydrogen peroxide, rate constants of redox reactions) using genetically encoded sensors of redox-active compounds.

The therapeutic potential of human stem cells

+
Analysis of the therapeutic potential of human mesenchymal stromal/stem cells (MSCs), as well as 3D cellular systems based on them; development of approaches for the correction of various human pathologies (Ascherman syndrome, skin wounds, Duchenne myodystrophy) using stem cells.

Tissue-like three-dimensional (3D) cellular models and systems

+
Tissue-like three-dimensional (3D) cellular models and systems
Characteristics of human mesenchymal stem cells, as well as tumor cells cultured under conditions of tissue-like 3D growth geometry: phenotypic, genetic and molecular portrait of cells in the composition of spheroids and scaffolds populated by cells. The search for ways of therapeutic use of 3D cellular systems for the correction and diagnosis of various human diseases.
