The main direction of the laboratory's work is the creation of optical components of integrated photonics – optical channel and planar waveguides, transition elements for the input and output of radiation into waveguides, as well as the assembly of photonic integrated circuits and the development of methods for measuring their characteristics, increasing stability and reducing cost.

  1. Creation of lensed fibers
  2. Experimental research methods
  3. Development of integrated circuits

Lensed optical fibers

+
At the moment, the results obtained on the topic of lensed optical fibers have the greatest practical significance. Such fibers with lenses on the end in various configurations (geometry, focal length, diameter of the mode field, preservation of radiation polarization, use of special antireflection coatings) have proved to be in demand by leading scientific and technical organizations engaged in the field of integrated photonics and optoelectronics. To date, official letters have been received requesting samples of lensed optical fibers from the following organizations: the Russian Quantum Center (Moscow), the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Moscow), Vladimir State University. Stoletovs, Ulyanovsk State University, Ioffe Institute of Physics and Technology (St. Petersburg), TUSUR (Tomsk), SPbPU named after Peter the Great, ITMO, T8 (Moscow).
