Research in the laboratory is focused on studying the mechanisms of action of pyridoxal-5’-phosphate-dependent enzymes, as well as their use in enzyme therapy for the treatment of socially significant diseases.

  1. Synthesis of biologically active compounds
  2. Creation of genetically engineered structures for the expression of target proteins
  3. Protein crystallization

Research directions

Study of the mechanisms of action of pyridoxal-5’-phosphate-dependent enzymes

+
Over the past two decades, the main objects of research were: beta-eliminating lyases, tyrosine phenol lyase (CF 4.1.99.2) and tryptophan–indole lyase (CF 4.1.99.2), and gamma-eliminating methionine-gamma lyase (CF 4.4.1.11). In addition to studying enzymatic reactions, we broaden the pathways of biosynthesis of biologically active compounds, develop methods for the organic synthesis of isosteric substrates and improve methods for targeted enzyme delivery.
