Abstract
New builder on the block: p-Type, n-type, and ambipolar π-conjugated molecules were prepared from an inexpensive, commercially available building block, namely, 4,10-dibromoanthanthrone (see scheme; TIPS=triisopropylsilylethylnyl). These materials were characterized by various methods. Some showed promising potential for applications in organic field-effect transistors.
