Abstract
Despite decades of studies, advances in the design of catalysts at the laboratory scale and insights into the underlying ECO2R processes have not yet led to high deployment rates in industry. This Review discusses practical challenges in the industrial chain that hamper the scaling-up deployment of ECO2R technology. In addition, insights are provided to accelerate the development of ECO2R technology.
