Abstract
Triacetylmethan addiert 2 Moll. Wasserstoffperoxyd zu 4.6- Dihydroxy-1.4.6-trimethyl-2.3.7.8-tetraoxa- bicyclo[3.3.0]octan (III), dessen OH-Gruppen mittels Wasserstoffperoxyd stufenweise durch OOH-Gruppen ausgetauscht werden konnen unter Bildung der 4-Hydroxy-6-hydroperoxy-(IV) und der 4.6-Bis-hydro-peroxy- Verbindung (V). Bei V sind die Hydroperoxygruppen acetylierbar (VI). Mittels Bleitetraacetat wird aus V das Trimethyl-hexaoxa-tricyclodecan VII („Triacetylmethanperoxyd”) gebildet. VII kann auch unter sehr energischen Reaktionsbedingungen aus Triacetylmethan und Wasserstoffperoxyd direkt dargestellt werden. Ein Dimerisierungsprodukt von IV wurde als Peroxyd VIII isoliert.
