Краткое описание
An efficient liquid-phase process of isomerization of various terminal and internal allylic alcohols followed by Meerwein–Ponndorf–Verley-type reduction leads to saturated alcohols (see figure). Ruthenium hydroxide on alumina (Ru(OH)x/Al2O3) can act as a reusable heterogeneous catalyst and can easily be separated from the product.
