Abstract
Breast cancer resistance to traditional chemotherapeutics demands new drugs with novel mechanisms of action. Herein we report the drug design, synthesis and in-vitro biological evaluation against breast adenocarcinoma MCF-7 cell line that identified six compounds more effective than the well-know 5-FU. These results will also be useful for future pharmacokinetic studies and should be adaptable to the study of other class of compounds and other cancer cell lines.
