Abstract
A reaction of potassium ({(4Z)-4-[(1-methyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl)methylene]-5-oxo-1-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-imidazol-2-yl}thio)acetate with copper(II) chloride in methanol leads to bis(5-anilino-7-methoxycarbonyl-1-methyl-1H-imidazo[1,2-c]pyrimidin-4-ium) tetrachloro-cuprate(II), whose structure was confirmed by the X-ray diffraction studies.
