Abstract
1,3,2-Dithiazol-2-ylium cations are readily reduced to their corresponding neutral radicals and previous studies have shown that these radicals are, in turn, capable of acting as donors in conducting CT complexes. In this study, a variety of new 1,3,2-dithiazole compounds with anellated isocyclic and heterocyclic rings, have been prepared via different routes. These new compounds were partially characterized by X-ray structure analysis and their ability to form conducting CT complexes studied.
