Abstract
A new organic ligand (4 Z ,4 Z’ )-1,1 ’ -[disulfanediylbis(ethane-2,1-diyl)]bis[2-methylthio-4-(pyridin-2-ylmethylidene)-1 H -imidazol- 5(4 H )-one] chemisorbed on gold electrode surface forms coordination compound with copper(ii), which catalyzes the electrochemical reduction of nitrite in water solution.
