Abstract

Octaaryl-substituted Si(iv) corrolazine complexes, obtained by reductive ring contraction reaction of the appropriate SiPzAr8, exhibit high ability for single oxygen generation. The crucial role of acid in the Pz → Cz transformation is revealed.
