Abstract
New a-aminophosphonates were synthesized by the reaction of 3-methylbenzaldehyde with aromatic o- and p-phenylenediamines and diethyl phosphite. The obtained compounds with a free amino group are of interest as synthons for the subsequent modification of natural products. The dependence of the yield on the target a-aminophosphonates with respect to the reaction condition and the type of catalyst used was studied.
