Abstract
The effective one-pot method for the synthesis of new quaternized pyridine substituted analogs of betulin has been developed. The method is based on the reaction of the initial triterpene with organic tribromides in pyridines. The effect of various organic tribromides (Tempo+Br3−, TBA +Br3−, Py·HBr·Br2) and pyridines (pyridine, 3,5-lutidine, 2,6-lutidine, 4-picoline, and 2,4,6-collidine) in the yield of the desired products have also been investigated.
