Ways of increasing mechanical properties of cantor high entropy alloy

Abstract
Short review of scientific articles of the last years of Russian and foreign researches on studying possibilities of improving mechanical properties of quinary high-entropy alloy (HEA) Cantor of different phase composition in wide range of temperatures is carried out. It is noted that creation of bimodal distribution of grains in sizes by severe plastic torsional strain is one of possibilite. The method of magnetron sputtering and subsequent annealing at 300°C is second they of formation of increased mechanical properties. The effect induced by phase transformation in (CrMnFeCoNi)50 Fe50 alloy obtained by the method of laser additive technology the high mechanical properties reached. The way of improving the mechanical properties at the expense of electron beam processing is noted. Attention is paid to necessity of taking into account the role of entropy, crystal lattice distortions, short-range order, weak diffusion and “cocktail” effect in analysing mechanical properties.
