The Need for a Digital Substation During The Digitalization of Energy

Energy is a branch of the national economy, which in modern times plays an important role in the life of society and man, and serves as the main element of the country's economy. Today, there is a trend of falling technical and economic indicators of the industry. So, the level of depreciation of fixed assets is increasing, fuel consumption in energy production is increasing, there are no effective capacity upgrading programs, etc. There are 321 thermal power plants, 75 hydroelectric power stations, 10 nuclear power plants, 23 solar and 27 wind power stations that produce electricity in the territory of the Russian Federation. Also there are 14 interregional network organization, 29 independent and 3683 territorial grid companies. In this regard, the most relevant is to consider the technical characteristics of power equipment of electric power enterprises.
