Abstract
In the reaction of 5-phenyl-4-ethoxycarbonyl-1Нpyrrole-2,3-diones (ethyl 4,5-dioxo-2-phenyl-4,5dihydro-1H-pyrrole-3-carboxylates) 1а and 1b [2] with 4-hydroxycoumarin (4-hydroxy-2Н-chromen-2-one) in the ratio 1 : 2 in boiling anhydrous toluene in the presence of triethylammoniun acetate within 2–3 h (monitoring by TLC and HPLC) substituted ethyl 2',6,8-trioxo-5'-phenyl-1',2',6,8-tetrahydrospiro(pyrano[3,2-c:5,6-c']dichromene-7,3'-pyrrole)-4'-carboxylates 2а and 2b were obtained (Scheme 1).
