Abstract
The reasons for the expansion of the temperature range of inelasticity of a polymer material at temperatures above the glass transition temperature when it is filled with zinc powder, studied using the method of dynamic mechanical relaxation spectroscopy, are analyzed. In the internal friction spectra of the filled polymer, a decrease in the intensity of α-relaxation processes in the region of the glass transition temperature, which correlates with the nature of the temperature dependence of the frequency of the oscillatory process, as well as a change in the activity of the local µ-relaxation process at negative temperatures, was found. The expansion of the temperature range of inelasticity (elasticity) is associated with the disruption of intermolecular bonds in the polymer and the formation of new relaxation structures as a result of the interaction of its carboxyl groups and oxide groups on the metal surface. The manifestation of µ-relaxation processes is associated with the formation of various forms of ice during freezing of a latex polymer at negative temperatures.
