The monograph is devoted to a comprehensive political and economic analysis of the concept of European strategic autonomy. The authors focus on the specifics of individual country approaches of the EU countries to the implementation of this concept, presenting the perspective of various states of the Union, taking into account their historical experience, geopolitical position and economic interests, and also assess the influence of external factors, including relations with the United States, Britain, NATO and neighbors (Norway and Turkey). The key task is to analyze the risks and opportunities associated with the promotion of strategic autonomy and assess its potential impact on the development of European integration and the position of the EU in world politics. The study covers a wide range of issues, ranging from theoretical understanding of the concept and its reflection in transatlantic relations, security issues, as well as specific areas of economic policy.
