Краткое описание

Increasing the wear-resistance of materials is an urgent task of modern materials science, which is most economically and efficiently solved by modifying only the surface of products. Consequently, studies of changes in the microhardness of low-alloy structural steels with different carbon content after irradiation of samples with pulsed plasma flows have been carried out. The chosen processing method is considered the most perspective now. As a result, optimal hardening conditions were determined, in which the maximum microhardness of the surface layer was achieved, and the effect of alloying components on the calcination thickness was also established.
