Laboratory of Epidemiologically and Socially Significant Infections
Scientific Centre for Family Health and Human Reproduction Problems
The main focus of the department is epidemiological and microbiological research on current infections, from the population level to the level of individual organisms. In addition to traditional laboratory directions such as "epidemiology of socially significant infections" and "molecular epidemiology of tuberculosis," the laboratory team conducts research on a number of promising areas, such as "pharmacokinetics studies of anti-tuberculosis drugs," "identification of new biomarkers for current infectious diseases using whole-genome sequencing methods," and "studies of the lung microbiome in tuberculosis processes."
