Laboratory of innovative thermoplastic materials
The development of compositions and manufacturing technologies for thermoplastic polymer composite materials (TPCM) with targeted properties is the basis for the development of the technological potential of modern enterprises in various industries.
This complex multi-level task is being solved by Yaroslavl State Technical University in collaboration with leading research institutes and manufacturing companies using modern equipment and a set of research methods. The constantly developing infrastructure of the educational and laboratory section of YSTU allows performing fundamental research and solving applied (industry) tasks related to the development of new TPCM formulations, improving the production technologies of TPCM products (polymer pipes, hoses, seals, wires and cables, various molded special purpose products, rubber products, etc.).
The equipment of the site allows us to develop technologies for processing and introducing new TPMS into production, including biodegradable polymer materials developed at YAGTU (for example, for the production of disposable tableware or medical products), as well as to obtain unique heavy-duty and heat-resistant materials, promising nanocomposites and materials for 3D printing.
