Relevance: Russia is striving for technological independence in the field of space, laser technologies and microelectronics. This requires domestic optical materials capable of withstanding extreme space conditions: radiation, temperature changes, and meteorite impacts. Our work is aimed at creating such materials, opening up new horizons for Russian science and industry.
Goals and objectives:
• Creation of new generation optical coatings: We will develop coatings capable of protecting optical elements from the most destructive influences, while maintaining their high efficiency in a wide spectral range.
• Development of MSTU competencies: The project will allow MSTU to become a leader in the field of creating optical coatings for extreme conditions, strengthening our authority in the global scientific community.
• Solving practical problems: The coatings we have developed will find application in space telescopes, high-power lasers, microelectronics and other advanced technologies.
What will we do:
• We will create unique technologies for applying optical coatings with specified properties.
• We will develop methods for quality control of coatings at the highest level.
• We will conduct large-scale tests of coatings in conditions simulating cosmic vacuum, radiation and other extreme factors.
• We will create detailed recommendations on the use and storage of optical elements with our coatings.
Expected results:
• Prototypes of optical elements: We will create samples of optical elements with our coatings for various applications, from space telescopes to microchips.
• New technologies: Unique technologies and equipment for the application and control of optical coatings will be developed.
• Scientific publications: The results of our work will be published in leading scientific journals, increasing the prestige of MSTU.
Why is this interesting:
• The Future of Technology: You will become part of a team creating future technologies that will change the world.
• Practical experience: You will get a unique experience working with modern equipment and learn how to solve complex engineering problems.
• Interdisciplinary: The project combines physics, chemistry, materials science and other fields of knowledge, which will allow you to broaden your horizons.
