My main research interests are:

- Differential Geometry and Topology of Submanifolds and Foliations.

- Mathematical modeling in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics and Computerized Visualization.

- Teaching mathematics using symbolic computational tools

At the beginning of my professional life, I was influenced by the fundamental Toponogov's problem on foliations of Riemannian manifolds with positive curvature.

In 1984-1995, I developed a methodology for solution of this problem for locally given foliations.

In 1998, I moved to Haifa, in Israel, and since 1999, have been a senior scientist in the faculty of Aerospace Engineering at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. There, I made scientific investigations in the field of anisotropic elasticity and piezoelectricity

and published several papers and a monograph.

From 2004 until the present, I have been a full professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Haifa.

Among the courses I taught at the University of Haifa since 1999 is the ``Geometry with Maple" course based on two my textbooks.

In 2008-2010, in common with Prof. Walczak, I made scientific investigations supported by Marie Curie Actions grants in the field ``Extrinsic geometry of foliations" and discovered a new research tool (called ``Extrinsic geometric flows") for studying foliations with variable adapted metric.

I have introduced the partial Ricci flow for foliations to study the

problem: Which foliations admit Riemannian metrics of positive constant mixed curvature?

In 2011-2014, I made scientific investigations supported by Marie Curie Actions grants (ERG project No: 276919) in the field ``Extrinsic Geometric Flows on Foliated Manifolds".

My results were reported in ICM-2006, ICM-2010, ICM-2014 and many other conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals and books.

I has published more than 200 papers and 10 books, organized four International geometrical conferences in 2008, 2013 (with Springer Proceedings volume), 2018 and 2023 (with Springer Proceedings volume) at the University of Haifa.
