About

Work experience in the project from the customer of JSC RSK MiG in MAMI. The aim of the project is to find optimal parameters when using friction stir welding (STP). In order to modernize the training aircraft of the TCB MIG-AT, it was proposed to manufacture the welded keel of this aircraft from heat-resistant aluminum alloy 1161 by friction welding with mixing and removing titanium alloy protective panels from the structure. The quality of the welded keel depends on the parameters of the friction mixing welding mode and on the configuration and wear resistance of the working tool. In this regard, the properties of welded joints made of various aluminum alloys have been studied and the optimal modes of their friction-mixing welding have been determined. Recommendations for increasing the service life of the tool are proposed. To prevent chipping of the tool, it is necessary to protect the surface of the tool from aluminum penetration occurring during the welding process. According to the results of the analysis, several options for increasing resistance (ion nitriding - electroerosive alloying) have been proposed. It was also found that the foreign inclusions in the weld are the intermetallides of the Fe-Al system, formed during the STP process due to the mutual diffusion of metals, and falling into the weld when chipping from the tool due to brittleness.
