Paulo Giacomin received the technique degree in Electronics from Federal Technical School of Espírito Santo, the bachelor degree in computer science and the master degree in electrical engineering, with concentration in automation, from Federal University of Espirito Santo and the Ph.D. degree from the Postgraduate Program of Electronic Engineering and Computing at the Technological Institute of Aeronautics, in Brazil, with concentration in informatics. He received an English certificate, Level B, from University of Cambridge. Actually, he is a permanent professor at Santa Cruz State University, in Brazil, at the Department of Engineering and Computing. The most common general subjects in his publications are algorithms, control, distributed autonomous systems and optimization.
