Biography / Professional Summary

I am Mezan el-Khaeri Kesuma, S.Kom., M.T.I., an academic and researcher specializing in Computer Science and Informatics. Currently, I serve as a Lecturer in the Information Systems and Data Science Study Programs at the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Raden Intan Lampung. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta (2013) and my Master of Informatics Engineering (M.T.I.) from IBI Darmajaya (2015).

Research Interests

My primary research focus encompasses:

* Artificial Intelligence: Including Machine Learning, Deep Learning (CNN, YOLOv9), and Expert Systems (Fuzzy Logic and Profile Matching).

* Internet of Things (IoT): Developing sustainable, smart systems for environmental monitoring, agriculture (e.g., biofloc systems), and Smart Campuses.

* Information Technology (IT) Governance: Utilizing frameworks like COBIT to evaluate and audit IT systems.

* UI/UX Design & Educational Technology: Creating interactive applications and systems to enhance digital learning and library management.

Research Grants & Projects

I am actively involved in research funded by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (LITAPDIMAS). Notable projects where I served as the Lead Researcher include:

* Developing an Expert System using the Fuzzy Tsukamoto model to recommend medication for Type 2 Diabetes mellitus patients (2026).

* Designing an AI application based on Fuzzy Profile Matching for orthostatic hypotension medication recommendations (2023).

* I have also acted as a co-researcher for IoT implementations geared toward sustainable Smart Campuses (2024).

Editorial and Reviewer Roles

I actively contribute to the academic publishing community. Since 2022, I have served as the Editor in Chief of the Asia Information System Journal (AISJ). Furthermore, I serve as a Section Editor and Reviewer for multiple academic journals, including International Journal of Data Science and Analytics- SPRINGER NATURE, the International Journal of Electronics and Communications Systems, Journal Computer Science and Information Systems (J-Cosys), Software Engineering and Technology (SEAT) Journal, and SANDI: Jurnal Sains dan Sistem Teknologi Informasi.

Selected Publications & Books

I have published extensively in national and international journals, covering topics such as AI chatbots in higher education, real-time Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and digital library systems. In addition to my journal publications, I have authored several academic books.
