About

From an early age, I have been fascinated by the world around me, its diversity, dynamics, and the processes that shape space. This curiosity led me to pursue studies in Geography and Environmental Geoinformation at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, where I developed a lasting interest in spatial analysis and modern cartographic technologies.

I am a specialist in spatial data processing with a deep passion for cartography and GIS technologies. In my work, I combine technical expertise with analytical precision, using advanced tools for modelling, integration, and validation of spatial databases. I continuously develop my programming skills by creating custom automation solutions and QGIS plugins that streamline and enhance user workflows.

My scientific research focuses on the development of GeoAI and Data Science methods, with particular emphasis on applying machine learning techniques to spatial data analysis. The goal of my PhD project is to develop integrated methods for classification and prediction of urban environmental changes using machine and deep learning algorithms, as well as to create an open, reproducible analytical model supporting sustainable urban development. The study also involves testing prototype neural network models applied to Earth science research.

During my master’s studies, I explored the modelling and visualisation of spatial phenomena in 3D GIS environments, which remains an important aspect of my current research. I am also passionate about science communication, sharing knowledge through professional workshops and educational initiatives such as the Researchers’ Night and the Toruń Festival of Science and Art.

Since 2025, I have been a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences “Academia Scientiarum Thoruniensis” at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. My doctoral research, entitled “Integration of GeoAI methods, GIS, and remote sensing data in the modelling of dynamic land cover changes in urbanised areas,” is supervised by Dr. hab. Mieczysław Kunz, Professor at NCU, at the Department of Geoinformation and Environmental Remote Sensing.

In my free time, I lead an active lifestyle, taking part in long-distance cycling ultramarathons, walking with my dog Neptun, and exploring the world through the eyes of a geographer.

Metrics description
h-index
A scientist has an h-index if h of his N publications are cited at least h times each, while the remaining (N - h) publications are cited no more than h times each.
i10-index
The number of the author's publications that received at least 10 links each.
m-index
The researcher's m-index is numerically equal to the ratio of his h-index to the number of years that have passed since the first publication.
o-index
The geometric mean of the h-index and the number of citations of the most cited article of the scientist.
g-index
For a given set of articles, sorted in descending order of the number of citations that these articles received, the g-index is the largest number such that the g most cited articles received (in total) at least g2 citations.
w-index
If w articles of a researcher have at least 10w citations each and other publications are less than 10(w+1) citations, then the researcher's w-index is equal to w.
