About
I’m an optometrist and passionate researcher currently pursuing a PhD at the University of New South Wales, specializing in low vision rehabilitation and retinal diagnostics. My journey in optometry began with a Bachelor’s in Optometry from the Elite School of Optometry, India, and has evolved through a Master’s degree and an American Academy of Optometry Fellowship (FAAO), which I was honored to receive in 2023.
Over the years, my career has bridged clinical practice and research, where I've been involved in transformative projects in retinal diseases, imaging, and low vision care. I’m now focusing my PhD research on the public health impact of bioptic driving for young adults with visual impairments, exploring safety, value, and policy dimensions to enhance mobility and independence.
Driven by a commitment to advancing eye care and improving lives, I approach each day as a chance to innovate, learn, and contribute. Let’s connect and explore opportunities to collaborate and make a meaningful impact in eye health and low vision care!
