About
Harry Procter is Visiting Professor at the University of Hertfordshire, and was formerly a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the UK National Health Service, specialising for many years in working with families in both adult and child mental health and disability settings. He gained his BSc in the University of Bristol Psychology Department and also received training in the Philosophy department under Professors Stefan Körner and Edo Pivčević. He gained his PhD in Bristol University Department of Mental Health in 1978, the research comprising the application of Personal Construct Theory and Methods to understanding and working with families. He has written numerous papers and presented and at many conferences and is now specialising and researching the philosophical background and elaboration of Personal Construct Theory, Pragmatism and Phenomenology.
