I am an independent scholar whose research focusses on Black intellectuals in the diaspora. I have published a monograph (in Portuguese) comparing Booker T. Washington with the Afro-Brazilian activist and scholar Manuel Querino, as well as editing anthologies on Querino, and Black warriors, maroons, and artists.
