Динга Эмиль

Emil Dinga was born on April 10, 1956, in the village of Furcenii-Vechi, Cosmești commune, Galați county, in a family of salaried workers, being the third child (the first to survive, and the only boy) among the seven children of Radu Dinga and Constanța Dinga. He attended primary school in the village of Băltăreți in the commune (1963-1967), and secondary school in the village of Furcenii-Vechi (1967-1971). He enrolled, through a competition, at the "Constantin Dobrogeanu-Gherea" theoretical high school in Tecuci, which he attended in the period 1971-1975. In 1975, he enrolled, through a competition, at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, whose courses he started the following year, because in the period 1975-1976 he completed a short-term military internship (9 months), artillery, at UM 01470 from Focșani. He finished his military training with the rank of sub-lieutenant but was no longer called up for advancement in rank, as was the custom. He attends university courses in the period 1976-1980 and upon completion, based on his general academic mark, including the bachelor's thesis, he "qualifies" for a job in Bucharest (at that time, Bucharest was a closed city). During college (1979) he marries Paula (Paraschița Călin), two years younger, from the same village, Furcenii-Vechi, whom he actually met at... high school, which they attended together. A short first part of his professional activity was spent in some industrial and commercial state enterprises, then he entered the teaching and research activity (see Employment section below) where remained till his retirement. Starting in 2016, Emil Dinga is conducting doctoral programs within the doctoral school of the Romanian Academy in the economic field, especially from a perspective of the philosophy of science or of economic and social logical modeling. He is living in Bucharest.
