About
Abiola OKUBANJO is the CEO of Blood Ties Donor Foundation (trading as Action On Blood), an international social enterprise that recruits, nurtures and mobilises voluntary blood, stem cell and organ donors. She is also CEO of Sahara BioMedix, a bio-pharmaceutical that provides healthcare with blood products and medical research with human bio samples.
Passionate about health equality, Abiola’s focus is driving for greater inclusion in the research, design and delivery of healthcare so that everyone can share in the benefits of scientific advances and have equal access to medical innovations.
Abiola previously worked in Mergers & Acquisitions, Leveraged Finance and Private Equity. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA), a certified Phlebotomist and has an Award in Education and Training (AET) qualification. Abiola achieved a BSc. in International Management with French at UMIST (UK), studied at ESSCA (France) business school and is an alumnus of the School for Social Entrepreneurs (UK).
