About
I'm a neuroscientist with a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from the Federal University of ABC and a Master’s degree in Biology(Genetics) from the University of São Paulo. During my undergraduate, I conducted an undergraduate project titled “Analysis of phosphorylated CREB expression in the hippocampus induced by the evocation of conditioned memory from fear to context”. During my graduate, I conducted a project titled “In silico analysis of Connexin 26 protein-protein Interaction network”. This project aimed to discover the proteins that interact with Connexin 26 - which is one of the proteins that could cause deafness - maybe in the future, we can better understand how Connexin 26 works in the supporting cells and how it affects the hearing process. I have experience with memory and deafness, Western Blotting assay, cell culture, rat handling experience, behavioral animal models, and databases. Currently, I am a research fellow at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in collaboration with Proadi-SUS working with the segmentation of skull computed brain tomography images in a clinical validation project of the algorithm. Furthermore, I am a PhD student at Mohammed V University of Rabat, Morocco in the program on the therapeutic potential of phytoproducts in Parkinson's disease at the equipe of Physiology and Physiopathology. The project aim is based on a potential treatment for Parkinson's disease.
