Ге Лонглонг

She is currently doing a PhD in Critical Theory and Cultural Studies in the School of Cultures, Languages, and Area Studies at the University of Nottingham. Before then, she completed an MA in “Languages, Literatures and Cultures” at Durham University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in “Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language” at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (China). Her PhD research is about “Metamorphoses in the Works of Angela Carter and Li Bi-Hua”, under the supervision of Dr. Hongwei Bao and Dr. Andrew Goffey. The project will be situated in the context of feminist cultural studies and aims to explore the transcultural conceptualisation of metamorphosis by analysing the work of these two women writers from the UK and Hong Kong, China. Her research interests also include comparative literature, digital media, and Chinese popular culture.
