About
Esmeralda Cartagena Collazo is a graduate of the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico with a B.A. in Elementary ESL Education, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in ESL, and a Biliteracy Certificate from TWU. Esmeralda has 16 years of teaching experience in Bilingual and ESL in grades K-9 in Puerto Rico, Chicago Public Schools, and Irving ISD. She is currently attending Texas Woman's University for a Ph.D. in Literacy, Langugae, and Culture. She currently serves as an ESL Instructional Specialist in the Department of World Languages in Arlington Independent School District.
